I am a scientist and an artist. I trained originally in sculpture and painting, and wrote my thesis on prehistoric art and architecture. I qualified as a teacher and have travelled widely, in South America, Africa and Asia. I am a high altitude expedition leader and have worked as a photo-journalist.
